NOTE: JP's computer crashed in April...we finally got it fixed, and are trying to catch-up. If you haven't heard from us, the e-mail MAY have been deleted. We sincerely apologize, but thank you for thinking of us at this time. Please let us know how you're doing!
This is a web page dedicated to our first child. Mia Gabriella Paulus was born on Monday, March 21 at 6:59 am. to Sythera & JP Paulus. Mia was the nickname of JP's mother, and means, "mine" or "my", but can also mean "who is like the Lord?". Gabriella means "God is our Strength".
She was born weighing 15 1/2 oz. (not even a pound!) and was 10 1/2 inches long. (She was 3 months premature!). Going in, she was doing well, developing at a downtown Chicago hospital.
Mia came home on July 7!
As of 22 december 2005, She is 25 inches long, and weighing 12 pounds, 2.5 ounces!
As of 1 March 2006, Mia is 26 1/2 inches long weighing 13 pounds, 14 ounces!
Check to see how much she's changed by comparing photos on this page as well as at http://jp.paulus.com/mia-archive.html
Prayer Mailing List
If you're up for this roller coaster ride, sign up for our e-mail list. We will send you prayer requests via e-mail.. We plan on doing that about once a week, unless we get a call from the doctors at the Hospital. (Warning: you may get a false alarm or two, where they call us at the first sign of an emergency). NOTE: We'll update the mailing list much more often than the web site!!!!!

Sorry if this is a pretty generic page...we'll try to work on it eventually, especially as Mia grows up & out. Thanks for your prayers & patience!
As time goes on, older photos will be moved to http://jp.paulus.com/mia-archive.html
